I have a hopefully easy question regarding multiple heat sources.
The system has a standard HVAC stack with an electric furnace and air conditioning system.
In addition to that, there is also a boiler heating system in place.
Right now, the electric heat and air conditioning is controlled with one thermostat, the boiler heat is controlled with a separate thermostat.
This is for my parents house, so I haven't gotten a look at the thermostat wiring yet, but assuming it is standard wiring (W, G, Y, etc.), can a Nest thermostat be set up with multiple heat sources and have the ability to specifically request which one to use? For example, ONLY use the electric heat, or ONLY use the boiler heat. Not as a multistage where it will use electric heat first and then use the boiler heat as a 'second stage'.
Thanks very much for any insight.

Hi King_Koopa,
Thanks for checking it with us. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? What is the make and model of your HVAC system? Also, in what country are you located?
Best,
