Nest won’t connect to app

Hi, I recently had internet issues, and I have everything reconnected except for my nest. It’s on the same Wi-Fi Netwerk as the app, I restarted it, I’ve done all the things that the app tells me to do. But I still get error code TD016 and I know it’s on the same Wi-Fi so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or how to fix it.

I continue to get my Nest is disconnected from Wi-Fi on my app, but upon checking the device…it’s connected.  I’ve restarted the Nest and it fixes it for a day or so. Help!

I just had this problem and here's an easy solution -- albeit a little odd. There is an article that is linked that says to hold the originally connected Nest thermostat close to the new one to "help" it connect. Yet, that doesn't work. Here's what does. If you go on your Nest App and create a new home, you'll be able to connect with no problem. It's a known glitch as I've read through the countless articles. While it's a bit weird to have "two homes" set up, it's a solution that works well. Hope that helps!
