Hi. I have been holding off as long as possible with the heating like most people but have recently switched heat on manually via the Nest. This week I caved and set a schedule. Heat comes on fine as scheduled but doesn't switch off. I realised after a few days that I've been heating an empty house.
I have reset the schedule several times, the house temp is warmer than the safety/eco temperatures and the Nest is not set to learning mode.
Any ideas of what is happening please? I'm tempted to have the Nest removed and have an old fashioned timer switch fitted.

I had this too.]
All I did was set my temperatures every day, on the hour to 9 degrees. This, if the schedule does as it pleases, at least I won’t burn more than an hour.
if you want the heating to stay on, delete the necessary entries.
yes, it’s a right pain, but it works.
Hopefully you will get a better answer than this…

Thank you. I've decided to try a factory reset tomorrow but if it doesn't work, I'll definitely follow your advice. It sounds a pain but we can't afford to have the heating on for hours. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Hi folks,
Thanks for chiming in, @SeriouslyWhy.
@SGuy1, oh no! I'm sorry to hear that your heat does not come off with your Nest Thermostat. Remove the thermostat display from the base and wait about five minutes and check if the system shuts off or stays on.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Zoe
