New Nest Thermostat not connecting to wifi, home app.

Working for a church with a wide variety of HVAC systems, I have installed 8 3rd Gen Thermostats with little to no issues. I purchased three of the new Nest Thermostats, and all three will not connect to WiFi stating that they are unable to find the other nest devices on the network. I am using google nest wifi as our building wifi, and all of the devices are connected, up-to-date, and functioning correctly. There seems to be no way to manually connect these thermostats to WiFi. On a thread highlighting this same issue with the new cameras, the 'solution' that was identified seems to be having to remove EVERY other nest device from the home, adding the devices I need to add, then re-adding the other devices.

Does anyone know of another way to accomplish this? The above solution seems absurd...

Hello beeble1980,

I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you to add your new Nest Thermostats; let's see what's going on.

Could you tell us what type of Nest Thermostats you're trying to add? What's the message code you're getting when they fail? Also, could you provide a rundown of all the steps you've tried?

I'll look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mark
