New computer trying to connect to nest thermostat

The NEST thermostat was working perfectly across a number of devices.  I changed the Windows computer and tried to connect to the thermostat and unable to access as no entry key showing on the Thermostat. If I reset does that impact on the other devices?  How do I access entry key?

Not quite sure how a computer enters the picture here as you can't setup a thermostat using a computer and changing your computer wouldn't have any effect on your thermostat. Are you referring to your thermostat not being visible on home.nest.com? If so, are you logged in on the web browser with the same account you're using in the Nest app? Can you see and manage your thermostat in the Nest app on a mobile device?

If not, try these steps:

  1. On the thermostat, press it to open the quick view menu and tap the Settings cog.
  2. Go to Settings > Reset > Account connection. If you don't see this option, select All Settings, which resets the thermostat.
  3. If you haven’t already, download the Nest app on a phone or tablet.
  4. On the Nest app home screen, tap the Settings cog.
  5. Tap Add product. The app will switch to a camera view to scan the thermostat’s QR code.
  6. On the thermostat, press it to open the quick view menu and tap the Settings cog.
  7. Turn the ring to select Nest app and press to open it.
  8. Select QR code. Your thermostat will show you a unique QR code to scan with the app. If it doesn't, tap Continue without scanning in the app and select Get entry key on your thermostat instead.
  9. Follow the remaining steps in the Nest app.

Once setup, your thermostat will appear on home.nest.com on a computer if you login with the same account you used in the Nest app.
