Nest E thermostat had for years now. Never had the trouble with old furnace. We do have a C wire. Thermostat will call for heat, furnace kicks on and goes through it's starting procedure where it will light the burners (lp). They wont light, it will shut off and re-start the process right away. It seems to go through this 3 times then does come on. This does not happen every time though.
We have had the furnace inspected and they have replaced the circuit board and also another part that regulates the LP supply but it does the same thing. They now think it is the Nest.
Any thoughts before I replace with a different brand?

Hi roseypet,
Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum and for being a step ahead of us. Do you see any messages or code on your Nest Thermostat E or on your Nest app?
Best,
Jenelyn

Thanks for reaching out. After several attempts to figure out our nest and new furnace, it seems to be an incompatibility issue with the nest being at fault. After years of loving our nest, we had to replace it. I had hooked up an old thermostat, no issues. Re-hooked the Nest, same issue, bought a new programmable thermostat and no issue again. Very sad to have this happen as I enjoyed the friendly usability of the app for nest. Our new thermostats app isn't as good.

Hey roseypet,
We deeply appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences, and we'll take it as feedback. If you were able to use your thermostat for years, the compatibility might not be the issue. I'm afraid that your Nest Thermostat is no longer in warranty, as the Nest Thermostat E has a 1 year warranty. We hope we can change your mind in the future.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Regards,
Jenelyn
