New nest thermostat

JonG
Community Member

I just wired in my new nest thermostat and it seems like its not kicking in the blower on the furnace.. the gas turns on and the cold air return is sucking air but the heating vents are hardly blowing any air at all. I only have 3 wires hooked up C/R/W.

Hi JonG,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

Based on the details, you have only 3 wire heating systems. There are a few things that we can check for us to further isolate the issue:

  • Check the furnace switch and fuse
  • Check the filters
  • Select the right heat source and type. Go to settings > equipment > select your heating type and source.
  • Restart your Nest Thermostat.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan
