I am getting a NO POWER error message and need to change the batteries but I am having a difficult time removing the device. I do not want to force it. Is there a trick to this?

Hi KRey32,
Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
You can easily remove the Nest Thermostat from it's base by holding it to the side and pull it off the base.
You could watch this video for reference.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Best regards,
Ryan

Thank you. I have replaced the nest with a different type of thermostat.

Hi KRey32,
Thanks for the update.
I hope everything's working fine now even if it's on a different thermostat.
Again, thank you for being here in the Google Nest Community forum. If you have any other concerns about Google Nest Thermostat, let us know by creating a new thread.
