New thermostat won't turn on

I had to order a new thermostat after the rechargeable battery gave up in my original one.  I've plugged it in to charge it up, it has a flashing green light but I can't get the screen to come on at all to set it up. I've reset it twice now and still the same, any ideas before I return to sender?!

  • Can you verify that all the circuit breakers are switched on?
  • Where did you charge the thermostat?
  • How long did you charge the thermostat?
  • Could you verify if the wiring is properly connected to your thermostat?

I've now returned the thermostat and received a refund but thanks for replying
