New to Nest thermostat and I have no idea how to use it .

New boiler and nest thermostat fitted today . Plumber explained everything . Within an hour of him leaving we had the heating coming on no matter what we did with the thermostat . The thermostat seems to have a mind of its own . Room temp is showing 22 degrees . The nest thermostat was set to 14 degrees and the heating came on . Set the app to heating off but to no avail. Eventually set the thermostat to 5 degrees . This doesn’t seem correct 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Best get him back tomorrow to explain how to operate the system to you. Any good installer should explain a new system to the user, and leave all the operating instructions with you. You never leave a customer without the FULL information on how to work anything.

Well don't expect help from customer support. They don't know how to use it either.

I’m no Google fan by any means (read my posts), but there’s no need for customer support when the installer is responsible.
