No AC option on my next thermostat

RRather94

I hooked up my nest thermostat at my new house yesterday and there is no option for AC only heat. I’ve made sure multiple times that everything is connected properly and there is enough visible wiring. Everything works great except no AC. I’m not sure what to do. It’s compatible according to google.

Is there a way for you to take a picture of your wiring set up with your thermostat? Is this a new thermostat that you installed or no?

This is the original wiring

Hi folks,

@Anonymous, thanks for the help!

@RRather94, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your AC using the Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, could you try reseating the Y wire? Also, make sure that the end of the wire is straight and the're should be at least ⅓" to ½" of copper is exposed.

Thanks,

Edward

I’ve reset it multiple times and even stripped the wiring more to allow more copper exposure. It works fine when plugged into the old thermostat but will not run ac and heat. There is a jumper on the original wiring and that’s the only thing I can think that would be causing the issue
