While attempting to resolve an issue with incorrect temperature issues I reset, removed and reinstalled the thermostat. Nothing worked. Then, I started getting No Power messages. When that happens nothing else works. I ABSOLUTELY have power. I even installed a new , Beefer, 24 volt C wire transformer in case the original one was acting up. I have checked all wires and connections many times. Same message.
I was able to reinstall my original Honeywell mercury thermostat, thank goodness, to get the heat working.

In desperation I moved the thermostat from a good wifi reception area to a very good area. In the process I ran all new wiring. I then verified that I have everything as it should be and I do have power and everything is connected properly. I am still getting the No Power message when the thermostat attempts to start up. I can’t believe the time and effortI have put into solving Google’s problem.
As far as I am concerned the thermostat is garbage and Google deferring everything to the Google Nest Community is a real cop out. Earning ridiculous Badges doesn’t cut it. Other than their posted troubleshooting guides, which don’t work for me, don’t they ever actually have folks review these posts and act upon them. This has been the most frustrating process I have ever been involved in.

Hello John1947,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
Could you share a photo of your existing and current thermostat's wiring? What's the message code you're getting? Also, if it's possible for you to give it another shot, please gather the power readings on your thermostat's Technical Info settings for the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E and Equipment settings for the Nest Thermostat 2020 model.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

Mark, please read my various posts and replies / updates when I was troubleshooting the problems, which was quite a while ago. If you read them it started with temperature accuracy problems and ended up with the no power messages. I put a lot of detail in my posts and spent way too much time and effort trying to resolve these with no help from you folks. That info should cover way more that you are requesting and I am not about to reinstall it when I have a Honeywell in its place that is working fine with the same wiring setup, etc.,
John
