So I just replaced batteries on my google nest thermostat because it told me they were low. Put the thermostat back on and it rebooted and now it’s saying there’s no connection. I read a post and I used a multimeter to check r to common and got about 28v so I don’t know where to look for the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Hello @BaileyHall
Thanks for reaching out to our community about this power notification. Sorry for this situation. Don't worry, I'm here to help you with it.
Could you share with me the type of batteries you are using on your thermostat now? Also, we can try to clean the contacts. These are the metal parts on which the batteries press against when inserted into the slots; this is to make sure we don't have a bad contact.
Feel free to reply to my post with these details, and I will try my best to get a solution for you.
Best regards,
Douglas

I figured it out, thank you. I looked into the wire settings and it showed some we’re not registering with the thermostat so I just tried to push them in more and put the thermostat back on and it was working.
