No hot water all of a sudden.

My nest suddenly decided to not keep my hot water boiler hot.

Been working fine since setup. But all of a sudden at some point this week it apparently stopped keeping the hot water boiler heated.

I checked and the water is all cold.

Inside temperature isn't anything special not hot not cold.

Radiators aren't heating since it's not cold enough.

Not sure if this is why the boilers water isn't heated.

But even when I force it to start heating (turn up temperature all the way up) it doesn't seem to do anything.

Anybody has any idea?

Thanks

Hi there @YvesT,

Thanks for reaching out. No worries, Help's here.

  1. What type of thermostat do you have?
  2. When was the thermostat installed?
  3. Do you have a system or a combi boiler? Is the control On/Off or Opentherm?
  4. What's the status of the Heat Link's LED light?
  5. When did the issue start?
  6. Has there been any recent work done on your thermostat(s) or heating system? If yes:
    1. What kind of work was done?
    2. Was the power restored correctly to the system?
  7. Were there any power outages? If yes:
    1. Has the thermostat been off since then?
    2. Did the thermostat and Heat Link work before the outage?
  8. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?
  9. Does the thermostat call for hot water?
  10. Is there a pattern to the hot water activating? Is it happening every day, or at the same time each day?
  11. Does the display show a water droplet inside of a circle? This icon suggests whether or not Hot Water or Bacteria Prevention is activated. The icon for hot water boost is different from the icon for Bacteria Prevention Thermostat bacteria prevention icon.
