Hi
My thermostat has been displaying a H71 error for the last couple of days. Everything was working fine before then and nothing has been moved. I have a 3rd generation learning thermostat which I got with the new gas boiler in July 2020. There are NO lights at all showing on the heat link. I've tried resetting the heat link, resetting the thermostat but when it rebooted the error message was still there and still NO lights on the heat link.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for letting us know, @Sparky
Could you tell me please when did the situation start occurring first and when was the thermostat installed?
Also, please answer the following questions:
Are there any lights on the Heat Link? Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing the Heat Link's button to activate Manual Mode?
Are you seeing any wiring report or message on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
If yes, how long was the power off for? (Be specific.)
Could you tell us please if you've checked on the breaker switch and fuse box?
Any blown fuse in there? Have you tried to turn the breaker switch off and on again? Any difference?

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me. I'll try and answer your questions:
Error came on about 4-5 days ago.
Thermostat installed with new boiler in July 2020.
There are no lights on heat link. Did press button on heat link for 25 seconds and still no lights came on.
The error showing on the thermostat is H71. Your thermostat cannot connect to the Heat Link. I have never had any problem with it before.
There have been no recent power cuts. But when I did have one last winter the thermostat came back on as usual.
Have had a recent service of gas boiler - July this year. (2nd yearly service) Not sure how long he had the power switched off but he was only here for about 30 minutes. It was working perfectly fine afterwards.
Fuse must be ok as the electronic display on the boiler is working ok and the heat link is on the same electric circuit.
This error (H71) just appears to have happened for no apparent reason.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
