No voltage out of a Nest Power Connector

I installed a Power Connector. My oil fired furnace has no C terminal, so I selected a terminal for the Power Connector C wire, which was connected to the return for 120 ACV, and did measure 120 VAC between that terminal the hot side of the AC wiring.

My Nest thermostat reported no power connection.

The input to the power connector showed 27 VAC on my multi meter, but the Power Connector grey output wires showed no voltage between them when measured with ACV and with DCV. The grey wires were not connected to anything when the measurement was taken.

Have I made an incorrect connection?

Are there informative measurements I should make?

Is the power connector just malfunctioning?

I have the exact same problem. Did you resolve this?  It seems the power adapter I have may be defective ?
