I have 4 third-generation thermostats and just purchased a new thermostat to replace a older 2nd generation version of a Nest thermostat. Before installing the new thermostat, I attempted to migrate my Nest account to my Google account. I got mostly through the process but something failed during the process. Now I can't see any of my third-generation devices on the Nest App.
I installed the new thermostat using the google home app. I can see that device using this app.
I tried re-adding the existing 3rd-generation devices using the Nest app but failed because the device reports that it is already connected to an account. I tried adding the device using the google home app, but it says you have to use the Nest app to install older devices.
What is going on here? I would like all 5 nest devices to be visible in the same app--I don't care if it is the Nest App or the Google Home App. It seems like the existing 3rd-generation devices are still connected to the old Nest Account which I cannot seem to connect to because I attempted to migrate to my google account. What's my best course of action to get all devices visible on a single app?

You may not be able to view all of your Google Nest devices in the same app. Google Nest has been halfway between the 2 apps for years. We've been using both apps for almost 4 years after getting a 2nd gen battery camera (which can only be viewed in the Google Home app) in 2021.
