Not Cooling

I got Nest E 1 Gen and used it winter time well.
But yesterday when I tried to cooling, hot air was flow out from duct.
So I checked again wire connections and compare to previous connections.

Old controller has yellow Y/Y2 and orange O/W2*. But I connected in Neat yellow to Y1 and orange to *O/B. If this connection is reason of not cooling, how can I modify this connections?

Hi Yoo1,

Sorry to hear about this situation with the cooling in your Nest Thermostat. No worries, help is here! Based on your wiring information, the reason why it's not cooling might be the orientation of the O/B wire, it might be set to heat. Please try changing the O/B setting, here are the steps:

  1. On your thermostat, go to the Settings Nest settings icon.
  2. Select Equipment.
  3. Select Continue and then Continue.
  4. Select Heat Pump.
  5. The Nest Thermostat defaults to an O setting for heat pumps.
If the O option is highlighted, select B.
If the B option is highlighted, select O.
  6. To make sure the issue is resolved, test your heating and cooling again.

Let me know how that works.

Regards,

Axel.
