Old thermostat works. Nest shows no power to RC

My old thermostat works completely fine. I disconnected it and plugged in the nest learning thermostat, and I'm getting the error that there is no power to the RC wire. I've checked all connections,  checked the system etc. I took off the nest thermostat and put back the old thermostat and it works totally fine.  I disconnected it once again and put back the nest thermostat, and then I get the same error again. I can't get this nest thermostat to work! Would anybody have any suggestions?

Hey Biggdaddy3456,

Thanks for posting and for trying those steps already.

Could you post a clear photo of your old thermostat wires showing the terminal labels and another photo of how you wired your Nest Learning Thermostat? Also, what system do you have?

Best,

Melba
