Only cool in mode

I have a Google Nest learning thermostat 4th generation and only have cool showing up in Modes, I was reading on an old post that wiring is probably the problem, I have 4 wires: 1 red, 1 white and 2 black my connections are:

White to W1

Red to RC

black to G

black to Y1

any help would be great, Thanks.........Scotty
