Outdoor temperature 15° too high

I have my thermostat set to show the outside temperature when I walk in the room. For the last couple of days it has been displaying a temperature which is around 15° higher than the actual outside temperature.

I believe outdoor temperature will normally come from the Internet. Is it possible that the thermostat thinks it is in a different city, state, country than it is actually in?  Or maybe it is showing the indoor temperature instead of outdoor?

I checked the ZIP Code in my app on the phone and it is correct. One thing I just noticed is that in the Nest app on my phone the outside temperature listed is correct but the outside temperature on the thermostat is around 15° higher.
