Please allow us to adjust nest sensor schedule hours.

Please allow us to adjust nest sensor schedule hours.  It’s so incredibly frustrating that this cannot be changed.

Due to my work schedule I do not go to bed until after 1 AM which renders the scheduling utility completely useless for me because I can’t set it to the bedroom at 9 PM because then I will be uncomfortable for four hours in my living room, but if I don’t, then I can’t have it to switch to my bedroom automatically when I go to sleep. This completely defeats the purpose of having a smart thermostat!

How can somethings so basic as a schedule be omitted like this? It should be as simple as what are the hours you want it to use sensor X and what are the hours you want to use sensor Y? That’s it. Locking us into time-blocks that we have no control over makes zero sense whatsoever. What person what actually use the system like that?!!

This makes me feel like I just wasted money because if I have to manually adjust this every night, then how is that any different from me just buying a dumb thermostat?

More frustrating, it looks like this issue has existed for years and yet no one there decided to make such a basic change.

Please fix this. Like I said I feel like I have wasted my money.

Wholeheartedly agree! I have the exact same problem, and lately it's feeling like I should have just got a dumb thermostat instead of constantly arguing with the Nest app.

Hi folks,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your request for this additional feature, and please be assured that our product team is working non-stop with different partners to bring the best features to the Google Nest devices. So, please let our product team know about it by sending feedback. Right now, these Nest Temperature Sensor schedules are the only options for you to select.

I'll go ahead and lock this thread within 24 hours. If you run into any more questions in the future, please feel free to create a new thread.

All the best,
