Prevent A/C from Freezing

I hear that running an A/C when the outside temperature is below 60F will cause the A/C to freeze.  Can you enhance the settings so that users can specify to not run the A/C when the outside temperature is below whatever the user decides?

This will protect the A/C from accidental usage when it would harm it.  Some times the home may be too warm.  The user may turn the thermostat temperature down to kick on the A/C.  However, if the outside temperature is below 60F, then the A/C should not turn on.  In fact, the person should just open the windows.
