I installed two nest learning thermostats about a month ago. One of them has learned the temperatures and the other has not learned anything. The settings are the same on both, and on Auto-schedule Learning is on . Also both are on heat mode. Any idea what is going on with that one thermostat.

if "learning" doesn't work, you can turn that feature off and program the Nest schedule manually, like an ordinary programmable thermostat. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10184385

The response to program the thermostat myself defeats the purpose of buying a learning thermostat. That is why I paid the extra money for it. I want to have it work correctly.

Sorry; you're right -- you should expect the product to work as advertised. I should've labeled my replay as "Plan B" -- what to do if you can't get Learning to work.
Hello forum -- does anyone have advice for making a Learning Model learn properly?
However . . . another reason to try programming the thermostat manually is to make sure that it works at all. (Currently, does it even call for heat when it should?) After all, if Learning doesn't work, what other features might not work? If it won't follow a manually-programmed schedule, that's a bigger problem that needs to be addressed.

It does work and turn the heat on and off to whatever setting you manually choose.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
I appreciate your assistance. @CBFox.
@JohnR9, I'm sorry to hear that one of your thermostats won't learn your daily routine to automatically create a temperature schedule for you. Let's sort this out.
Monitor the behavior to see how it goes. If the issue persists, please let us know.
Best regards,
Mark
