No issues for 3 years.  Randomly got e73 wiring issue.  Air still runs at times.  Other 2 nest systems no issues.  Do I call an electrician or HVAC?

Hello folks,

I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for sharing these helpful steps, @Patrick_Caezza.

@Nicduv, how's it going? Have you had a chance to follow the steps shared in the link? If you've exhausted it already, I'd love to give it another whirl.

To isolate:

  1. Please gather the power readings in your actual thermostat's Technical Info option.
  2. Does it have a common wire connected? If so, remove the C-wire and leave it disconnected.
  3. Restart the thermostat by pressing and holding the screen for 10 seconds to refresh.
  4. Gather the power readings again to see if there will be changes.
  5. If the wiring report disappears, the common wire may not be properly grounded, so the system uses power sharing but doesn’t get enough energy.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
