Hello, do you know if I can replace my 3 wire, analog room thermostat with a Nest thermostat for controlling my (water) floor heating/cooling system? The analog room thermostat is a "theben RAM 701 H/K 24V~". It controls two valves of the floor heating/cooling system, and can be switched between a cooling mode and a heating mode. In the heating mode one of the two valves is closed, namely the one that is mounted on system's cold water inflow pipe (valve 1). The other valve (valve 2), which is mounted on the system's warm water inflow pipe, is opened. In the cooling mode, valve 1 is opened and valve 2 is closed. The heating and cooling can also be switched off, in which case both valves are closed. The valves are powered using 24V dc. The three wires are as follows:
- wire 1: 24V dc power input
- wire 2: (24V dc) output for controlling the position of valve 1
- wire 3: (24V dc) output for controlling the position of valve 2
Unfortunately, I cannot find online document of the analog thermostat that I could share with you.

Based on the wiring information you provided for your analog thermostat, I recommend contacting a technician to install the best compatible thermostat for your HVAC system.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
