My Honeywell donut thermostat has only two wires: a red and a blue.
I connected the red to the R terminal on my Nest thermostat and tried connecting the blue to the W (no luck) then the O/B and finally the Y because the app said the Y needed to be connected.
the thermostat seems to work and can be adjusted directly on the thermostat itself (when the blue wire is connected to the Y) but it won’t connect through the internet with the app. Hence, I can’t program it with a schedule or control it remotely.
there are only 6 terminals on the back of my nest thermostat. Is there a better choice for where to connect the blue wire?

Hello Gebenack,
Thank you for taking the time in letting us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.
It appears that your thermostat isn't receiving enough power from your system, which doesn't allow you to connect to the app. To be sure, could you please send us a picture of your previous thermostat wiring setup? Also, what's the make and model of your heating system?
I'll look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Mark
