I have replaced my Nest gen 2 with the tado Wireless Smart Thermostat X - Starter Kit offered as a suitable replacement. This is now heating the hot water but the heating still seems to be being controlled by the nest thermostat and heatlink. What do I need to do to take these things out of the loop so that the tado is controlling everything?
The thermostat replaced the receiver next to the boiler and the thermostat should replace the thermostat - easy but what happens to the HeatLink box?
Any advice gratefully received

Hi @Jelly2026,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you've installed the Tado Wireless Smart Thermostat X to replace your Nest Learning Thermostat (2nd gen), and while hot water control is working, the heating remains stuck with the old Nest Heat Link and Thermostat. I'm happy to assist.
You are right about Heat Link; it should be completely removed from your heating system.
I hope this information helps.
Best regards.
Derick.

So what do I do with the heat link box?

Hi there!
Thanks for your reply. You are welcome to either keep the old Heat Link or recycle it. Since you received a Tado Thermostat, the old unit is no longer needed. If you want to recycle it, we offer a program to ensure the electronic components are handled properly.
You can request a postage-paid shipping label from our third-party recycling partner using the following link: Learn about Google's Recycling Program.
I hope this information helps.
Best regards.
Derick.
