Replacing Trane thermostat (ComfortLink II)

I’ve got a Trane ComfortLink II thermostat (connected to Trane XC95m) and seriously want to lose this thermostat and replace it with a Nest LT (4th gen).

Looking at the wiring situation connected to the Trane thermostat, it has 3 wires:

D, R and B

its not clear if I have a path here. Between googling and mining Reddit I can’t seem to find a clear answer.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that you want to start to use the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th generation. I see the photo that was sent with the wiring diagram. Since the wiring configuration is D,R and B, at the moment the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th generation is not compatible with your system.

If you have more questions, please feel free to write in this post.

Regards,

Gabriela
