Which connection should use for the wire labeled “PEK”.  I am replacing my ecobee with Nest Learning Thermostat. The photo is how the ecobee is currently connected. It runs a Carrier HVAC

Keep the Ecobee. You'll have less problems.

Ecobee sucks

Would you mind elaborating on what trouble you've had with Ecobee?

I prefer the features of the Google Nest.  I have the Nest door locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, cameras in my home and I can monitor all devices through one application on my phone.  I'm not really having any problems with the ecobee; I just want to replace it.  Can you tell me which connection I should make on my Nest thermostat for the wire that is currently connected to the connection labelled "PEK" in the ecobee?  I see how to connect the other three.  There is no connector labelled "PEK" in the Nest.  That's my only problem.

Hi folks,

Thanks for chiming in, @jstanthrsuburb

@JonathanG, thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats. You don't need to connect the PEK wire of your Ecobee thermostat to the Nest Learning Thermostat base since you already have a C wire. In that case, your thermostat wires should be wired to the Nest Learning Thermostat base as shown:

Also, here's a guide for the installation and setup of a Nest Learning Thermostat.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Best,

Zoe
