I'm curious if this is normal, or this is short-cycling.
Nest thermostat and winter. 25F outside and home set to 59F and 64F at fixed schedule. It starts the heat for 7-9 minutes most times, every 30-45 minutes.
Seems to be working fine - it kicks in when temp is 1F below the set temp and heats to required temp +1F.
Wondering if others see the same pattern and this is normal. Attaching the history image.History of heating on/off

Hi nestuser700,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that your system runs around 7-10 minutes every 30-60 minutes, and you want to know if this is normal in the Nest Thermostat Energy History. I'm happy to assist you right now.
The Energy History feature on your Google Nest thermostat keeps track of how frequently and for how long your system has been running in the previous 10 days. Each orange bar represents when your heating was on, while blue bars show when your cooling was on.
You can refer to this article to learn more about Thermostat Energy History.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Gabriela
