Hello,
I was hoping someone could take a look at my existing wiring for a heat pump/ac unit and tell me if it's all compatible with the original nest thermostat.
TIA,
Scott

Hi @r1owner!
Thanks for posting in the community. I am glad to see that you want to replace your current thermostat with a Nest thermostat. It is my pleasure to help you to make the best decision. Also, thank you for sharing a picture of the wiring. Based on the wiring, your system is compatible with any Nest thermostat; however, if you want to check the compatibility by yourself, you can use the following link: Nest thermostat compatibility checker. This tool will help you verify if your specific HVAC system is compatible with the Nest thermostat.
If your system is compatible with our Nest thermostats and you want to know how to install it, you can take a look at the following article: Install your Nest thermostat.
Please let me know if you have more questions. Thank you.
Regards,
Jeremy.

Thanks Jeremy... I guess I don't need that jumper wire from R to Rh on the Nest thermostat?

Sorry, meant Rh to Rc.

Hi @r1owner!
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the time you took to check the previous information. I understand you want to know if you have to remove the jumper wire. I'm happy to respond to your questions right now. In this case you are right; you do not need the jumper wire; therefore, it is important to remove it for the installation of your Nest thermostat.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Jeremy.
