Scan QR but nothing happens

I have the nest thermostat and I cannot set it up. When I use the home app and scan the QR Code it reads the code but takes me right back to a screen where it's looking for another device. I have reset my phone and change the batteries in the thermostat and reset my Wi-Fi, & tried it on another phone and nothing is working.

Problem solved.  Apparently the problem was cause because I have Google nest mesh Wi-Fi system. It's a little disappointing that a Google nest product doesn't work with another Google nest product. But it may be cause because the Google nest Wi-Fi has a dual band signal messes up the Google nest thermostat while doing the initial setup. I just turned off my Wi-Fi by unplugging my router. Then when I scanned the QR Code on the thermostat, it went right into telling me the directions on what to do. I just plugged my Wi-Fi back in after I set the rest of it up and everything works fine.
