Setting up Google Nest to turn off AC

Hello, we just moved into our new place. Which has google nest operating the thermostat. Would love to know how to connect to it. So I can turn off the AC because its freezing. Thanks!

Must assume that there is no LOCKED state.  To simply turn it off, tap the face dial, rotate the outer ring until you reach COOL, press the screen then rotate the dial to OFF.  Or, set the temperature to a higher value.
