During the set up phase, the thermostat does not connect to the Google Home app and displays the following message. Please let me know what can be done! I have given location and local network access to the app.

I had the same problem with mine. I reset it several times over the course of about a month. Finally one day it just started working again as mysteriously as it stopped. I did hard resets where I removed the device and went back through the install/setup procedure again.
