Hi - really simple question but having had my Nest installed by a pro, I didn't realise the need for the separate stand. Now I have the stand I'm a little confused as to what constitutes the base plate section? Do I remove the existing back of the Nest thermostat and secure this to the stand then reattach the thermostat? I have no other base section either in the stand box or the original thermostat box.
