Setup of nest thermostat e - Error message TD003

Hi there - I am at the end of my Tether...

I am new to the Nest world, mine arrived last week and I began the setup process, however when it got to the part for the Heat link I realised I needed to get an electrician to install so couldn't complete the setup process of the thermostat at that point.
I have today now gone to complete the setup but have now got an error message - TD003 (0.24). It asks me to reset the thermostat which I have done on numerous occasions. The unit then either shows me a spinning wheel, or the home symbol inside a phone symbol.... but nothing else.
When Google searching this is what I find ..... The TD003 (0.25) error can occur when you haven’t completed language and equipment setup on the thermostat. To fix this error, use the thermostat screen to continue setup. I can't access the thermostat screen though.
Please help, I've been trying to sort this for hours!!

Thanks in advance

I am having exactly the same problem! I finally found out today which wires went were and when I went back I can no longer get my heat link E to connect to my thermostat E and have reset both, reset the WiFi, cleared nest app logged out deleted re-loaded and signed back in. Nothing helps!! I feel your pain and to be honest google support are useless

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Here are some steps you can try:

1. Turn off all the devices in the room that are using Wifi or Bluetooth.
2. Reset the thermostat by pressing it quickly 2 times and then press and hold the display for 5 seconds.
3. Reset the Heat Link by pressing its button 1 time to wake it up and then press and hold for 15 seconds.
4. Power cycle your phone.
5. Open the Nest app and create a new home structure.
6. Enable airplane mode on your device and then enable your Bluetooth and Wifi.
7. Add the thermostat to your new home ( you can also try to add it without scanning the QR code ).

Let me know how it goes.
