Simple Comfort Pro 4011 to Nest Learning Thermostat Wiring

I have a Simple Comfort Pro 4011 installed in my apartment. I am trying to map the wiring to my nest learning thermostat.

The following connections are currently done

Blue - Y

Brown - W

Green - O/B

Red - RC

Black - C

The thermostat has RC, C and O/B and I put those connections on the nest thermostat. For Y i use Y1 on nest and for W I chose W1 on nest.

When I run it, the thermostat runs and then it trips after some time. Would you know the issue?

It is a condo apartment in toronto.

Hello gursahibsahni,

Thanks for reaching out! It seems like you've made the basic connections between your Simple Comfort Pro 4011 and Nest Learning Thermostat, but the intermittent tripping might indicate a wiring issue or compatibility problem. Let's sort this out.

Please share with us a photo of the old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup. Double-check your wiring to ensure there are no loose connections or exposed wires. A loose connection can cause a short circuit, leading to the thermostat tripping. Also, gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings.

Keep me posted.

Regards,
Mark
