I want to use my new Nest thermostats as a simple ON/OFF switch in a 24 circuit. The QR code - see below - fails so it is not clear which model I have, but it was built in Vietnam. The Home Depot order listed it as a Smart Programmable WiFi Thermostat and listed the price as $129.99. The three terminals on the left side are T, C, and W. On the right side G, R, and OB. Can you ID which two terminals I should use to open and close the 24 V circuit when the set temperature is reached and close when it is above the room temperature? (forget about hysteresis.)
I expect to be able to control temperatures and setback times using my G-Home app. Will this still function normally with only the two power leads connected?
Can you provide a Google or Nest tech support phone number?
Many thanks,
Terry
