What is the latest software version for the nest thermostat? Can I find the version on my phone app or do I have to check it on the thermostat itself?

Hi @mrelmo - the lastest software update is Version 1.1-11 - released January 26, 2022.

You can find what version you are running by opening the Google Home app, then go to thermostat, then the gear in the upper right, then device information and you'll see software version in there.

Hope this helps!

I have not found any help with my issue. I have 2 nest thermostats, 1 at each property (2 different homes on phone app) when I want to have a seperate heat hold temperature (55 degrees on one and 62 on the other at the same time) eco will only allow the same temp on both.

Hi mrelmo,

Thanks for letting me know. Let's take a closer look on why your Nest Thermostats won't hold to the same temperature without the Eco mode activated.

To clarify:

  • What type of Nest Thermostats do you have?
  • Are you using the Nest App or Google Home App to control them?
  • What's the make and model of phone that was used for the set up?

I'll look forward for your response.

Mark

apparently I do not know hope to reply as my replies have come back via demon mailer so I still have an issue,

I am using the nest thermostat at both locations, the Google Home App is on my Samsung AOS2 phone, I am not saying it won't hold the same temperature. It is just the opposite, at location A I have a hold via eco for 56 degrees, at location B I want a hold of 63 degrees. When I try to set a hold of 63 degrees at location B via eco it reverts to 56 degrees that I have at location A.

Hi folks,

@Jake, thanks for the followup.

@mrelmo, thanks for clarifying and I'm sorry for the confusion. Let's try this steps:

  1. Modify or edit the Eco Temperature settings in the Google Home App's Temperature preferences. Here's your guide
  2. Restart your Nest Thermostat.
  3. Monitor and see how it goes.

Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue still persists.

Thanks,

Mark
