I have a nest learning 3rd gen and have the yellow to y1, green to g, orange to ob, red to rh, im not sure where to hookup the white , blue (old c wire), and a black wire which was twisted together with the black and hooked into the w2/aux on the old honey well. My system is a electric heat pump. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

If you have a electric heat pump with emergency heat hook up the wires as follows. I ran the test with all of the functions and everything works.

  • Yellow to Y1 (Heat/Cool)
  • Green to G (Fan)
  • Orange to O/B (Heat Pump)
  • White to W2/Aux (Aux heat)
  • Blue to C (24V)
  • Emergency Heat wire to * (mine is black)
  • Red to Rh (Power)

Hope this helps.

So where did you connected the black

So my black wire ended up being my emergency heat and connected it to the * (asterisk)

My W2/Aux wire is actually white and my emergency heat wire is black
