Temperature adjusting beyong settings

I have the heat set to 68 degrees and it would be working fine then suddenly heat the house to 76 degrees. Anyone else experience this? Also happened similarly in the past with cooling.

Ours would do that. It work always go to a higher temp in the middle of the night and it would get super hot. I ended up just locking in temp to be between 65-68, and it’s been fine ever since.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • What is the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? You can see this information by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

I'm not sure the exact type of nest thermostat. I spent over two hours with the support staff going over all that info and doing tests and they accomplished nothing. It was extremely frustrating especially when they said the best step is to have a tech come out and charge me $130 for the visit!
