I just installed a Nest Thermostat, and the actual temp is often 4 or 5 degrees lower than what i have schedule in the Nest thermostat. I know the thermostat is working some of the time, as the room is at target temperature periodically. Any suggestions?

Hey gpardo1918,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delayed response. I want to check on this further.
A few questions — this is the new Nest Thermostat that you need to set up using the Google Home app, right? Where was it installed? Do you have other Nest thermostats? If yes, are you getting the same incorrect temperature reading?
I would also appreciate it if you provide a rundown of the steps you've already tried so we could work from there.
Best,
Melba

Hi! yes this is the new Google Nest installed with the app. it is in my dining room with a temperature sensor in the upstairs bedroom. i installed it and it definitely seems to work some of the time. my problem is that it doesn't seem to follow the schedule i programmed. for instance, today, it is set for 72 degrees starting at 7am and then at 10pm it is set for 60 degrees. i came home during the day and the temp inside the house is 57 degrees. when i go to the thermostat in the dining room it flashes on, and then starts heating to 72 degrees. anything you can suggest would be appreciated.
