The thermostat does not want to come on It says it’s shutting down because of the battery to recharg

The thermostat shuts down says because of charging battery that was 12 hours ago and still does not want to come on that side. It’s a nest. thermostat.

Do you have the C wire attached to your thermostat? If you have a Common wire attached, and it is not charging then perhaps you need to check with a volt ohm meter. Set that meter to check AC Voltage.  Then check for voltage between R and C.  You should see 24 Vac +/- 5V.
