Thermostat Install

I turned off the HVAC at the breaker box, but my thermostat is still on, and when I turned the temperature down 5 degrees, it still kicked on. Is there possibly another breaker to turn off?

Which Nest thermostat do you have?

Nest Thermostats do have batteries in them that could keep the powered up even after the HVAC system has been powered down.

Hello folks,

I'm dropping by to see how I can help.

Thanks for helping here. @Patrick_Caezza

@Mcal0323, aside from what was being mentioned above. Another possibility is that your HVAC system might have a separate switch, or your system only took time to completely turn off, even if it's been off at the breaker. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Regards,

Mark
