Thermostat & Furnace compatibility

I am thinking of getting one of the Nest thermostats.  I want to be 100% sure that my existing thermostat is compatible and my furnace.

Your system should be compatible with any of the Nest thermostats.

Give this wiring a try.

Black - Y to Y1 or Y

Green - G to G

Red - RH to Rc or R (jumper to RC not needed)

White - W/E to W1 or W

The "or" is for the Google Nest Thermostat.

I recommend that you install a C wire so you have no problems down the road. If there is not a spare wire that you can use, then get the Google Nest Power Connector
