Thermostat dont work

Valex
Community Member

I bought a nest thermostat to replace the old thermostat i had on, with the old thermostat never had a problem, installed the nest and was working fine, after 2 weeks of working totally fine, the nest stopped working and has an error message e74, all of a sudden it says that the Rh wire is not receiving power, i followed all the instructions from the nest website according to this error code and nothing worked, winter is coming and now i have this issue, i’ve seen that a lot of people are having the same issue, what im supposed to do?
This things are too expensive to be useless !

Hello Valex,

I'm sorry if you have to go through this and we'd like you to have a better experience using your Nest Thremostat.

The message code you're getting means that your system may not provide enough power or any power to either the thermostat or a specific wire (so the thermostat can’t complete a circuit and shows the report).

A few questions to isolate:

  • Is there a C wire connected?
  • Are you still using your thermostat?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have?
  • Could you send us a picture of your previous and current thermostat wiring diagram?

I'll look forward for your response.

Thanks,

Mark
