I want to analyze potential savings of replacing my older heat pump with a new extended capacity heat pump. To do this, I need to download my Nest thermostat's history and have it show me the amount of time and indoor/outdoor temperatures & differentials that caused my auxiliary heat strips to take over for the heat pump (which theoretically would be reduced or eliminated with a newer, better heat pump). It's obvious that the thermostat maintains this data for 10 days, but I need it in quantitative form, not graphical, and I need years, not days. The data I can download in Takeout doesn't appear to provide this. Any suggestions?

Hey neumo64,
Thanks for posting and sorry for the delayed response.
I'm afraid, we don't have that information however if you opted to receive Nest Home Reports monthly, you might want to check your inbox for all the months you need. These are usually sent out during the first or second week of every month.

Nest home reports are just dreadful, all it tells you is how many leafs you got that month.
Why doesn't it give you the full month's data & why can't I see that in the app instead of just 10 days rolling data?
10 days is no use to base choices on, larger data set is required as the original poster mentions. It's our data, so why can't we access it?
