Thermostat schedule

After many hours of reading forum chats and tinkering with the various settings, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what settings you do to help get your heat to come on as scheduled, heat will only turn on when the temperature is below the ambient temperature (small grey temperature on the display). You still have to manually adjust the temp up or down.

Upon reaching the set temperature, it then automatically sets itself back to auto schedule even when it is turn off as well as 'away'.

I have given up on using the 'schedule' but turn on eco instead. This way I know for sure what to and what not to expect. Both ways will need manual temperature adjustments!!!

I do not want to reset thermostat as it is connected to the boiler not knowing what possible sagas this may lead to.

A little disappointing and fiddly in a sense.

Congrats to those who succeeded in this.

Hello Adaleine,

I appreciate your time in seeking answers here in the Google Nest Community Forum about the Nest Thermostat not following its temperature schedule. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To confirm, which Nest Thermostat do you have? Did you create the schedule in the app or in the thermostat itself? Please make sure to disable the Auto-schedule and the Home and Away Assist when creating the basic Temperature Schedule, as they trigger the thermostat to adjust the temperature. Also, remove all the thermostat actions available in the routines if you have the Google Home app installed.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
