Does anyone else have the problem with their Nest app which continuously shows Home even when nobody's home/no movement for days and event when setting to ‘Away’ it returns to ‘Home’. I think the problem is the app and not the thermostat as both thermostats in different locations have the same issue. I have done all the recommendations of resetting etc and also removed the app / downloaded again but no joy - also trying to ‘speak’ / ‘chat’ to Nest support is impossible + problem is logged but nobody seems to be dealing with it

I have theee thermostats in three different properties. None of them working correctly. I switch them to away and they switch back to home even though the properties are empty. They are holiday cottages and business premises

Me too! This started on Tuesday. The Nest3 is on the south coast of England. My firmware version is 5.9.5 and the device has not been migrated to Google. Using the Nest iOS app remotely I switch it to AWAY and after about 20 minutes it has reverted to HOME. The activity log says motion was detected in the home.

No, still not working and I noticed there’s been no contact on here from Google

Have you had any help from Google? Any idea what is going on? Mind are still not working. I was hoping that this was a n update issue that would be sorted out by Google but they just seem to be ignoring this problem

No help.from Google.
It's probably a server side issue (in the past they have had server side issues for cameras going offline), Google will never admit nor will inform us officially.

No help sadly. Went through all the trouble shooting with Support & all they could come up with was replace thermostat - didn’t seem to acknowledge that this was a problem their end as I think it’s too much of a coincidence that this is happening at two different properties & there’s a pattern to the time it switches to Away
